Meet the Doctor

Dr. Alireza Somji, founder and director of NeuroVision Performance, is a passionate and experienced optometrist who specializes in visual performance. He has worked with professional athletes from various sports including soccer, baseball, martial arts, football and many others. Dr. Somji and his team also work with recreational athletes across a wide variety of sports to help give them an edge.

Dr. Somji is well respected in sports vision and is currently serving as the President of the International Sports Vision Association. He is trusted by the Major League Soccer team the Houston Dynamo FC, where he works directly with the first team players to help improve visual performance. He also closely collaborates with athletic trainers and sports medicine physicians to co-manage patients with concussions and other vision related concerns. 

Dr. Somji is passionate about sports and has found a way to contribute to the success of athletes by using his knowledge of how vision works and can be enhanced. He also presents and teaches other doctors and healthcare providers globally on visual performance evaluation and training.

He is a proud member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, the International Sports Vision Association, the Neuro-Optometric Rehab Association, and also serves as a Regional Leader for the Professional Eye Care Associates of America.
